truth that angers
Since some here like to make very nice and tidy (but false) claims of the raging successes of the American troops in Iraq. But those claims are taken from a US military site, which of course is bound by duty to report success and never dismal failure. There is no way anyone can take creedence in their battle reports when it's obviously not going to be reporting on the actual human cost of the illegal occupation of Iraq. Will anyone ever tell me why the army news site is any different from a supposed extreme muslim fanatical site? I doubt it, but an answer would be partially satisfying.

I don't trust this site any more than any other fanatical site. It has about as much credibility to me as Dan Rather and the CBS news.

One thing I did find interesting...

I don't understand how they can pray to a God to bring death to someone else. I guess that just goes against everything I have ever understood about religion. I try to be open minded but I just can't link the two. I just don't think God is there to guide my bullets. God is there to guide my soul.

But Bush says he's acting in the Lord's name, and that includes killing other humans. Do you have a stance on that reality at all? The top man in Fallujah, right before the battle, told his men the enemy in in Fallujah and his name is Satan. Religion is playing a mighty role in destructive American foreign policy issues.

Oh yeah, that's a real reliable source of information. Uh huh.

Thanks Mason. You proved my point. Did you not read what I was making this thread about? A cheerleading biased news report is not a reliable source of information. Again thanks for proving my point.

Let me ask you this...(an honest and non-rambling reply would be great)...does it make you happy to hear of Americans dying in Iraq?

Sorry RH, I forgot you don't have the capacity to recognize sarcastic humor. You moron, I was actually agreeing with you. What a putz.

So, hum, why is this under the humor section?

I don't claim to have seen every appearance of Bush or heard everything he has said, and I don't remember ever hearing that we were going over there in the Lord's name. However, I have heard him say many times that we were going over there to fight for the freedom from oppressive government for the people of Iraq.

I am sure that you heard that the top man going into Fallujah said the enemy's name was Satan from an incredibly reliable source. That is his job! He has to motivate his men to perform well. It is the responsibility of any good commander, coach, or motivator to say whatever needs to be said at that moment. If he really did say that ... more power to him. He was motivating his men not to die. He did not ask God to guide their bullets into the hearts of their enemy.

Since you believe this article to be true ... how about a list of those 40 names or some other proof. I doubt you could find it any better than I could. I truly believe that what America is doing in Iraq is the right thing for them. We liberated them from a tyrant. I stand firm in that belief.

Holy shit justJohn maybe you ought to read the thread. When someone posts stories of great success and it's the military itself who posts it...it's biased tripe. If you read JihadUnspun and post stories of great successes and it's the Islamist extremists who are making those success statements...it's biased tripe. So it's John and Mason who respond negatively to articles they haven't even taken the time to read OR understand. Sheesh.

R.H. would pee itself in happiness if a thousand US soldiers died, because it would have something to write about tomorrow. It isn't having much luck with its Hitler apologist, Nazi propaganda.

Apparently you have never actually been to DefendAmerica.mil. Yes, it does tell of successes and sometimes gets kind of deep in the Hoo~AH rhetoric. Hoever, it also covers the deaths of troops, investigations of abuse, and other "bad news".

What I don't understand about you Reiki (and others like you); You reject any news of success out of hand, but then embrace bad news with everything you got.

Good news seems to be bad news, and bad news seems to excite you. I can undestand being against the war, and even support your right to be; but I don't understand how anyone can celebrate (and don't bore me with how you don't celebrate) the deaths of Americans and Iraqi civilians, yet mourn over any freedoms that might come to Iraq?

I did read the suspect article and found it poorly written. They seem to discuss the same point over and over while I just continue to scroll down the page. If you actually take time to understand my point, you would realize that I was discussing the use of asking Allah to guide their bullets into the hearts of their enemies. I don't believe this site or any other like it. For the most part I don't even trust the news. Those liberal pukes just love to spin things the way they want to.

Can you answer a question for me?

Why is it that you take everything so personally? This is a forum for discussion. Don't get me wrong ... I like it when people are passionate about their thoughts and ideas but it seems to me that you are just angry. There is no passion in that.

My God you must just hold your pee inside hoping there is some "bad news" about america, bush, anything so you can finally piss a long stream, reveling in the bad news and horrors.. man oh man you really are a weinie leftist.

Disregard my question Reiki House... This statement says it all. You actually accept the word of terrorists as "unspun", yet reject any words from the U.S. Military out of hand. Anything said by the terrorists is gospel and anything said by the US is suspect at best.

That answers my question better than anything you might post as a direct answer.

The fact that this is in humor is in such offensive bad taste that I think it should be forcefully moved...
