I was insulted and mocked and ridiculed by the hawks. The US is in Iraq to bring them liberation and freedom from those who torture and murder I was rudely told. This is an isolated incident I was told. A rotten apple is not a voice for the entire corps I was told. And there was me swallowing insults to bring this reality to the ordinary ignorant citizens. My comment was that if it was an isolated incident committed by a tiny amount of GI's, and if the US was really trying to bring justice and freedom to Iraq, then we should all be reading about the murder war crime any day now since the GI's were on video while committing the murder. That would be news right? A platoon of GI's all laughing and murdering a wounded unarmed Iraqi on tape would be news right? If their arguments were true, that the US was in Iraq to free them from evil murderous tyranny, then these actions would bring a court martial to a platoon of GI's right? Well, again, I was silently proven correct. I was speaking of war crimes from the very beginning, taking insult after insult to no end. This video was done long before the ignorant masses were finally told (I and many others knew from the Red Cross report over 8 months before) about the hideous crimes at Abu-Graib. Long before the murder of the wounded unarmed Iraq in a Mosque of all places. (I hear that Dharma's father or little whip's father was lying against a wall in a Catholic church, shot up and very wounded, and an Iraqi soldier shot him in the head while releasing an immature Hollywood quip. Dharma shouldn't be angry though. Her dad, the Iraqi Army High Command stated, was a threat as he was lying all shot up, barely able to move. Dharma was pissed. But she did what was the right thing to do. She marched right over to the offices for the Iraqi-US Provisional Government, and demanded answers and justice. She was satisfied though. The Iraqi spokesperson told her the Iraqi Provisional government will look into it and get back to her.
Remember this clip was taken long before the Abu prison torture scandal. Long before the mosque murder. Long before Iraqi families were being shot up at US checkpoints. Long before their targeting journalists. Long before all the supposed kidnappings going on in Iraq. Long before all these continuous war crimes you all are finally hearing about. The soldier speaking speaks for them all. Laughing at murder. Laughing about how great it feels to murder. At how they just want to do it again. I say they did and continue to do so. Remember, they say it feels great. The laughing background is pretty haunting.
Sorry to Dharma for using her family as a comparison. Her name was the first I thought of, for I am sure, appropriate reasons (I think she's pretty). People need to put the shoe on the other foot and then think about what's really going on. People may wonder what my point is here. That I just want to insult the US. That I hate America. Nothing could be further from the truth. I only inform people of real actual events, whether recent or past. It's up to you to decide what to think of it, not what to believe, for I have never made anything up ever.
